A bit about me

Ten years as a nanny and eight grandkids later, I reckon I've got the hang of this.

I was a professional nanny for 10 years, and I've got 3 kids of my own and 8 grandkids, so there isn't much a toddler can throw at me that I haven't seen before (sometimes literally).

Minding the grandkids is the best part of my week, so I figured I'd open the door to a few more families around Stanwell Tops and the Coal Coast. I remember how much a night off meant when mine were little.

A normal night with me is pretty simple. The kids get a home cooked dinner, a bath if they need one and a story before bed, and you come home to a quiet house.

Here are my prices, but I'm happy to accommodate a budget if needed.

Date nights, school pick ups, sick days or school holidays, I've probably done it before.

Overnight stays

Have a proper night off. I'll handle the 2am wake up.

I stay the night and look after everything until the morning, so you can finally get some sleep or get away for the night.

A full night's sleep

Sleep right through for once, or book a night away. Nobody's waking you up.

The night shift is mine

I'll handle bedtime and every wake up until morning. Babies and poorly kids are fine too.

Dinner and breakfast sorted

I'll cook a simple dinner and do breakfast in the morning. Just leave me a note about any allergies.

School drop off, if you need it

I drive, so if you're not back in time I'll get them to school in the morning.

How it works

Getting started is easy, and the first chat is on me.

You'll never hand your kids to someone you haven't met. We start with a quick cuppa and go from there.

Fill in my quick form and I'll call you to set up a 15 minute FaceTime. Ask me anything you like, and the kids can jump on screen and decide if I pass.

Pick your first date

Once you're happy, text me the day you need and I'll let you know quick smart if I'm free.

Go out and actually enjoy dinner

I'll look after things at home, so you can finish a whole conversation without anyone needing a wee.

What ages do you mind?

All ages, from newborns up. With eight grandkids I've had plenty of practice at every stage.

How many kids can you look after at once?

I'll happily mind up to 3 kids. If you've got more than 3, it's an extra $20 per kid, per booking.

What if I need more than 4 hours?

No worries at all. Every hour past the first 4 is an extra $35.

Will you drive them around?

Driving is available, I'll just need to use your car.

Do you cook dinner?

Yes, I'm happy to cook simple meals. Just leave me a note about any dietary needs or allergies and I'll follow it.

What if my kids are sick?

That's fine by me. If they're too sick for school or daycare, I can look after them until they're back on their feet.

What if I need to cancel?

Life with kids happens, I get it. If you cancel with more than 72 hours notice, you'll get a full refund. If it's within 72 hours I'll refund half, and if it's within 24 hours I can't give a refund. That's only so I'm not left holding a night I turned other families away for.
